THANK YOU’S,  SUCCESSES, AND CELEBRATIONS

A Gorgeous Day at a Waterfall

In my past, during my “not so bright moments” (feeling low, depressed, confused, et al), I discovered your writings.  I noted in the aftermath of reading, I felt “refreshed”.  What a wonderful gift you possess as an author to share that with others through your words and style of writing.  I have wondered, since discovering your writings, how someone could manage such a feat?  I tend to believe it must be your heart and soul actually being reflected within the words.  If I were to offer a visualization of what it is like to read your work, the closest I can come to is spending a gorgeous day beside a waterfall.

That’s a lovely metaphor. Thank you for the acknowledgment. I trust that what is true for me is true for readers. Not so much ideas or opinions, but the experiences that shape our lives. We all want love and have felt separated from ourselves and our source. We yearn for relationships that work. We want to feel integrous and fulfilled. And we all have experiences that hit the mark and miss the mark. We are all a lot more alike than different. When I record what has truly touched my spirit, it reminds readers what touches their spirit. We are all in this together! I wish you many more gorgeous days at waterfalls – not just mine, but whatever refreshes your soul.

Chicken Soup for Soul Fizz

I have always enjoyed the Chicken Soup for the Soul short stories and picked up a copy last year as a gift to my husband.  While reading the copy together we noted the stories seemed flat.  A soft drink without the fizz.  We finally noted your name was not listed as a participant.  You were/are the fizz!  Thank you for all you do!

Insights were Spot On

I wanted to give you an update: I wrote several months ago about my “flirtation becoming too intense”. Your insights were spot on! My husband and I are closer than ever, he is more responsive to my needs, and we are happier than we have ever been. Interestingly, my former flame is not who I thought he was. He is very negative, is not a 'friend' to anyone, and basically, not worthy of the time I spent on him! Once I listened to what you had to say, I took off the rose colored glasses that made this person something he was not, and concentrated on what I already have, my life has become whole again! Thank you , Thank you , Thank you.  (p.s. - I have all of your books, the best for me is Why your life Sucks...I have read it over and over!)"

Guidance through Hard Times

I was a student @ Montclair State, NJ in the 70's. I am currently reading a book called Ask and it is Given by the Hicks. I noticed your name in the beginning of the book and wondered if you are the same person who was an Human Relations trainer @ Montclair State. If so, I would like to thank you for your guidance through some hard times I had those many years ago. You can never really understand sometimes whose Life you can touch and affect by just being understanding.

Thank you for Who you Are

Rather than posing a question, I wanted to thank you for who you are. :)

I can Relate to Positive Flow

You are a wonderful inspiring speaker. Your positive "flow" is something I can very much relate to. For those who at present whose positive thoughts are not yet within reach, you help to lead them there. Thank you for  adding to the world's collective consciousness.

Sweet Guidance, Important Moments

Just a personal little wee note of thanks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there over the years . . . and especially now... I looked on these Q & A and found some sweet guidance . . . Particularly helpful now. Anyway thought I'd share a saying that has stayed with me for many years.......

"People come and go through my life,

Giving what they can and taking what they need, these moments were so important because we shared what we could,

Sometimes only a glimpse of the sun, but enough to warm the heart."

Universe Cooperates for “New and Improved”

This is a thank you note. I found my book work which was returned by the post office. The person who was supposed to do it was keeping an eye on it as well and was glad I got it back. Yes, after I wrote you about it, I affirmed divine order and then check the USPS website for tracking info and it was labeled returned. I got it back today and you know what? All the while that I it was out there somewhere, I was led to tweak the book some more and now it is coming out better than the disk I sent in to have formatted. I should have the format done with the “new and improved” book this week. It is amazing how what seems to be a bad thing turns out good for all. Thanks again!"

Appreciates Presence

Greetings, love and light to you and Charley as you begin another seminar in Hawaii.  Your presence in written form and Charley's music is a blessing and you both remain two of the brightest lights I've ever met in person.  Just wanted to pass on how cherished you are.  My life feels a balance between cherishing and being cherished in most every way, and you have both played a significant part in that.

Divine Order

This is a thank you for your site, books and answers to my questions. I want to share some of the successes with you: I am moving this Friday into my perfect living space. The apartment was ready the first of last month and my job came the middle of last month...perfect timing huh? I am a self publisher for my first book...there are two things that need done which are formatting and art work. I expect the book to hit late summer/early fall...all is in divine order. I have become more grounded spiritually and continue to do affirmations, tithe, seed money and go to a wonderful place of worship. I just let myself know that the universe loves and adores me. Keep up the good work on your site!

Empowered to Remember Self

I have always been touched by your work, and wanted to comment on your recent newsletter. Thank you for pointing out choosing to take the "odd" way.
This world is blessed to have you in it, and I appreciate what you empowering your readers to remember about themselves.

Your Words Speak to my Heart

I met you when you gave a seminar in St. Augustine, FL, and I have been a subscriber to your newsletter. I've read several of your books and I want you to know how much your words have inspired me. Your newsletter is one of the best gifts I've ever received. The topics always touch on something that speaks to the heart of what I am seeking. You've made a difference in my life. Thank you for sharing your love and wisdom.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

I just want to thank you for the inspiration I receive from your quotes and newsletters. I found your website more than a year ago after I read one of your books. I passed that book on. It gave me new energy when things were looking awfully dim. Someone once said, "When there is no light at the end of the tunnel, run down there and light it yourself." Thanks for lighting the end of the tunnel for me and the many others you help.

Perfect Timing

Thank you for the daily inspirational quotes and newsletter. Their timing always seems divine!

Loved Mr. Everit

Thank you for Mr. Everit's Secret, FABULOUS! I don't know why I have not read any of your earlier work, but this was my first exposure and boy I'm sure glad and thankful for the experience. Dominic Bless

Felt Your Words in my Heart

This is not a question, rather it is a thank you. I was feeling very worried today about a lot of things but basically thinking, how is This gonna work out?.. or How will I get the money for the car? find more work?...things like that and then I logged into my email and read your newsletter article - You've Got to Believe Me. I felt your words in my heart and in that moment, I felt peace that everything was going to turn out okay. God's message to me via you. Thanks. I really needed that message of faith today. Have a wonderful day, Mary

Reminded of Who I Am

I was feeling upset, fearful and crummy when I opened my email today, and read your newsletter. It reminded me, as my contact with you always does, of who I am, and what's really so. I wanted to acknowledge you directly for being an inspiration and such a bright beacon for me in some pretty dark times. My love to Dee, and I hope to see you both again soon, you are both such a gift. Cancun was nothing less than divine, and I still am benefiting from the experience. Coming east again anytime? Omega maybe?

Appreciates Answered Question

Thank you so very very much for answering my question on your website. That was a very thoughtful and terrific answer. I will take your advice to heart, as I always do. I look forward to reading MY FATHER'S VOICE (as you suggest) just as soon as I finish reading WHY YOUR LIFE SUCKS (which I am currently reading). You are an amazingly generous and cool guy. I'm so glad you exist! Best wishes and deepest gratitude, PAUL

Got a Lift

Just wanted to comment on how much I enjoy your electronic email. I always get a lift from some part of it when it comes in my ebox. Today was particularly interesting as it mentioned "spirit", and I've been focusing on spirit lately. I've also enjoyed reading "Joy is My Compass" that a friend gave me some years ago. (that friend being Valerie Johnson btw, whom I've worked with for the last 10 years!) Anyway, just wanted to say thanks! for all the work you do. Peace. Molly

Your writing in just this email/newsletter is so delightful and thought provoking. I have listened to some tapes and read some of your books and thank you for the gift that they have been in my life. I loved the stories about your mother. Take care. Thanks again. Laura

So Much Better Able to Deal with Life

Happy Day! A newsletter at last. Thank you for your words of wisdom. I am enjoying my books, and reflect everyday on what I got out of your workshop in Austin in November - it has made a tremendous difference in how I look at my everyday challenges. I am SO better able to deal with life. I need to write and share some of my insights with you, but am short on time and, probably, space here. Be well. Warmest regards to you and Dee. Kathy

Reclaiming my Good

Not a question but a big thank you from the island of Barbados! I'm a Spiritualist who had lost her way and Dare to Be Yourself is making me reclaim all the good that is rightfully mine!

Deep Breath of Life Speaks to Me

I was the Event Coordinator/Volunteer Director at First Unity in St. Pete, FL. and was instrumental in having you appear there. ..I LOVE your website! I just found out about it from Unity Renewal Ministries/Carolyn Jennings and am so grateful. I have had your Deep Breath of Life since 1998, (you autographed it for me in St. Pete) still use it everyday and find it speaks to me continually. Sometimes I remember certain stories just when I need them in a life situation. And I share stories with others from it when I do trainings and seminars with churches about their volunteer ministry programs. So you probably get book sales from that. :-)
Anyways, just wanted you to know...
Blessings of inner light, love and joy to you!

You Move Me

This is simply a message to let you know how much you move me. You are a magic man, and have inspired me to start writing. I used to live on Maui... and had the pleasure of working for Suzi O at Alaya Unlimited, former home of Maui'ana Magazine. Suzi gave me "Dragon", which simply brightened my life in Happy Valley. I shared the love, and passed the book to a young, stressed-out single mother. She came back to me a few weeks later in tears and simply couldn't believe the change your book made in her life. :)I was also blessed enough to receive "Dare to Be Yourself" from Suzi... it is the first video on my shelf, and I watch it often/I just yesterday had to tape "A Deep Breath of Life" back together. It has been so well-read and loved that it was literally in pieces. My soul mate and I read it every day of every year, year after year, and it just gets better with age (like you. :) I came to your website to find out how to purchase another copy of "Deep Breath" for a co-worker. I loaned the book to her, then I incurred some personal trauma in my life, and told her I needed the book back. She nearly cried and said that she spent 10-15 minutes of each day with your book, and didn't think she could bear to be without the calming influence it provided. I will replace it with a new one for her, and keep my well-loved version which contains the energy and fingerprints of so many kind people. You are an invaluable asset to the universe... and we are grateful for your love. If you'd ever like to visit Destin, Florida (on the Emerald Coast, with sugar-white quartz-based sand which squeaks when you walk on it), please let me know. I would love to treat you to a vacation here (please visit the website I maintenance at www.destinvacation.com). It's the only thing I could to try to repay you. And the offer if valid for the course of your lifetime. Keep doing' that thing you know you were meant to do Alan. It means so much to so many. May you have a most groovy day on your beautiful island. Mahalo for listening & Aloha nui Loa, Holly Foster Destin,

Never Too Late

I truly enjoyed "Why Your Life Sucks and What You Can Do About It. It's amazing to me how I could be on this earth for 40 years and not recognize my inner strength and my inner beauty. I've always looked for the quick fix and I've gotten involved in things that I thought would make me happy. I've made it impossible to experience true happiness, because I've looked for it everywhere...except within myself. Thanks for helping me see to see that's its never to late to "unsuck" my life. Your words have inspired to me to seek real happiness in all aspects of my life. Perhaps some time down the road I will be able to attend one your seminars. Thank you for helping me see that I CAN live my life and not just go through the motions! God Bless you, Alan!

Shifted to New Level

I just want to thank you for showing up and doing your part. I read The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore years ago and it was one of those books that helped shift my consciousness to a new level. Thank you for that. I have been a Course student for many years, and am now a minister through Pathways of Light, a Course based ministry. I often use your quotes in my sermons and sometimes they inspire the entire sermon. I watch eagerly everyday to see if you have sent me nougat I can use. Thanks for that as well. I think I have a picture of you. A long time ago I was at Unity Village for a retreat, and a man was sitting on a bench with a parrot on his shoulder. He looked so peaceful and colorful sitting there in that beautiful place, that I snapped his picture. Could that have been you? It kind of looks like your current picture and I just wondered. If you would be interested, I would like to send you one of my sermons that was inspired by you.  Well, thanks for again for all you do, and thanks for inviting response-I've always wanted to express my gratitude and now have been given the chance.

Books a Great Comfort

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to meet you and Dee and how much I enjoyed the talks and seminar in Raleigh. Your books have been a great comfort to me at various times and I am grateful for what you do. Thanks again.

I Felt so Loved

I wanted to thank you very much for your reply to my question about love (I'm the one who gets very, very sad and has trouble letting go). I came online this evening feeling worn down, and I did not expect to see an answer to my question. When I saw it, I felt so loved I cried. Thank you. It has been a hard week in many ways, and I haven't known how to give to myself what I needed to feel okay. Your answer helped, for more than just the situation I asked about. I saw that, in a conflict I'm having with a friend, I need to soften myself and let her see who I am instead of hiding my feelings of hurt. I don't know if you knew that was in your answer---it was when you said I asked my questions nakedly: I saw how much I hide who I am when I feel hurt because it feels so naked. Your reply was a blessing to me, one of those that feels so magical because it came when I couldn't see my way on my own. Thank you again. :

Blown Away

Your book "I had it all the time" was given to me by someone, and when I read it I was totally blown away.  From the very beginning I saw truth in every page.  In the past 15 years I have read over 250 books on religions, paths, spiritual paths, etc.   I have been a student of Eckankar for the past 12 years.  Your book was so enlightening that I ordered 4 more  from your order line.  I pass the  " I had it all the time"  to everyone I know that needs uplifting.   Thanks for being who you are and especially for sharing part of you in your books!

 Thanks for Being a Friend

I love your book(s), especially "Mr. Everit's Secret". I ordered it immediately after hearing about it, and what it's "about". (?) Thank You so much for being a friend to me, and for the ability to teach and lead in a truthful way.

Intimate and Profound

Found Peace after Turmoil

I've read a lot of books about mind power, etc., including some of yours a few years back.  But none of it seemed to 'take' with me personally.  I have kept on trying though, and finally yesterday I made up my mind to find a way to make something work for me ~ a way that would work to get me in touch with my Peace or True Self, my Power, you know.  I got online and started looking and found a lot of spiritual books and tapes for sale.  Then I ran across your site here.  I am amazed that you do this helpful stuff online free for everyone. That is so wonderful.  I have spent the last six hours reading the letters people wrote and your answers to them and finding in several of them answers directly applicable to me!  And now after having been in turmoil for weeks I am sitting here at peace.  It is wonderful.  Now I need to go look for what I did with your books.  And go buy the ones I haven't read.  I get much much more out of your words now than I did the last time I read your writing.  You put it in exactly the language that 'takes' with my brain. I also love how you are always giving these great quotes from other sources such as Goethe or Course in Miracles.  I thank you and I thank the Power that commissioned you and I thank the Power for sending me to your website yesterday. ~Lorna Pryor lhpryor@aol.com

Enthusiasm Poured Forth

Yesterday as I waited for a Unity Church service to begin, I noticed the woman ahead was carrying my favorite book, "A Deep Breath of Life." She wanted a book to place on her kitchen table and thought this might be the one. Well, my enthusiasm poured forth as I described how it has provided during even my darkest days AND how life changing it along with your Omega seminar has been to me. Needless to say, she purchased book and who knows, but the Hawaii seminars found her smiling. I thank U for listening to your heart and sharing it's beauty and insight.

Graceful and Firm

Hi Alan. I posted a question here once, and your answer (the fact that you answered, as well as the answer itself) was a blessing to me. I have been reading through your answered questions tonight, and I am struck by how gracious you are in your answers. Some people ask questions that for me would be bewildering to respond to (a case of, "What do you say to that?"). I am impressed by how gracious and kind you are in your answers, even and especially when saying no to requests that have a frantic tone or questions about your personal life. It's a good lesson for me in boundary-setting, and how it is possible to be graceful and stand firm at the same time. Thanks for the example.

Time to Come Out

I have been a big fan of yours for years. You are just the best...I actually met you a few years ago and was as delighted with you in person as I have been with your enlightened books. Alan, I respect you and your relationship with Dee. I met her as well several years ago. I have been married to my husband 31 years and we have had a rather tumultuous relationship which, at this time in my life, is neither here nor there. I have read your books as well as Wayne Dyer's books as well as The Course of Miracles for years and I so resonate with you and your "stuff". I just read your February newsletter. Bill and I have no children in this lifetime but we have two deeply beloved Lhasa Apsos and one is very sick. It has torn me up, torn me apart. We have a dear holistic vet who is working with us in conjunction with an internist and radiologist. How I feel enlightened when all is well and yet, enter a crisis and I feel I am all talk....I share this with you because you and Dee are so dear, so special, so sweet and I really think my issue is to come to terms with my worthiness and my beloved puppy is saying, "Mommy, I am sick so you can heal your feelings of unworthiness, all is well..." I talk to a seer/friend at least once a month and she said it is time for me to come out of the closet, to forge ahead, to show my "brilliance", not about intelligence, clearly, but about taking the lampshade off of my head. Anyhow, I want to thank you for being who you are...for being a light in the darkness....I have all of your books and have introduced them to family members...Know how very much you are appreciated and valued...Fondly, Gayle Bartlett

Helped Many in Profound Ways

I have your Why Your Life Sucks and Dare to Be Yourself books and find both of them very useful and insightful resources. Thank you for having the courage to pursue your life's work, which many of us never accomplish. You have helped many people in profound ways, including myself.
